Teaching Assistant
– Fixed term contract (9am -12.45pm)
To support a child in Year 3 with medical needs and autism. The child is working at the expected level for their age, is sociable and can access the curriculum, with support to manage sensory needs - including breaks from the learning environment.
Training to support their medical needs will be provided and previous medical experience, although desirable, is not essential. The child has a complex range of physical and health needs and is supported by various health and educational professionals:
You will work well as part of a team and be able to follow instructions from the teacher and also be confident to use your initiative where necessary. You will have good subject knowledge / a willingness to learn. You will be skilled in developing positive relationships with parents, staff and with the children you work with.
