Start of the New Season

The new look Swindon Village Team got their season underway this week.  On Monday 2nd October they hosted Warden Hill and handed debuts to Alex, Daniel, Ellis, Rueben, Riley and Alfie.  5-1 down at half time, Swindon Village showed great character to get back into the game, with Riley, Louis and Alfie all scoring and they found themselves just 1 goal behind with 3 minutes to go.  Unfortunately it wasn't to be and Warden Hill scored two late goals to run out 9-6 winners.

On Tuesday 3rd October, they travelled to last season's Albert Dix Semi-Finalists - Prestbury St Mary's.  Despite giving debuts to Jacob and George, and playing some attractive football, Swindon Village were unable to stop Prestbury recording an 8-2 victory.  Once again, Riley was on the score sheet.
