House Football 2017

Last week was House Football week. We kicked off the action with the SVPS school A-team vs Staff match on Monday lunchtime - and what a game that was! The A-team played amazingly (the referee, our SSN coach Miss Bull was very impressed with their skills) and gave the Staff team a real run for their money! In the end it was a Staff team victory, but it was certainly not an easy win. Well done to all the children who played, and the staff team: Mr Mills, Mr Philcox, Mr Howell, Mr Roddis, Mr Clayton, Mr Beardshaw-Brown, Mr Roberts, Mr Bradley, Mrs Brown and Mr Adsett.

Throughout the week, every pupil in Years 2-6 battled it out in House matches, each match adding points to the overall total. All the teachers were so impressed at everyone's enthusiasm and perseverance, including those very new to the sport. Sportsmanship certificates were awarded to the following children: Lia Fontoura (Year 2), Charlie Pockett (Year 3), Teagan Edwards (Year 4), Dylan Jenkins (Year 5) and Lucy Waring (Year 6). A special well done to these children.

We rounded the week up with a Year 6 Final match on Friday, which all the school came out to watch. Amazingly, this ended up being a Pittville vs Pittville final!

The final results were:

4th place - Hatherley

3rd place - Sandford

2nd place - Montpellier

1st place - Pittville

Well done and a big thank you to all staff involved in helping the week run smoothly.
