On Wednesday, our Year 6 Hockey Team took part in the Hockey Fever Festival at Cheltenham College, competing against six other schools. They played brilliantly and showed fantastic progress since their last tournament.
After an unbeaten run, the team were joint top going into their final match – against each other! It was a thrilling, end‑to‑end game with great play on both sides. Although one team narrowly missed out on the win, they finished as well‑deserved runners‑up.
The children should be incredibly proud of the skills, teamwork and determination they demonstrated throughout the day. Nathan made some excellent saves; Ellie and Arabella were rock-solid in defence; and Niamh, Harriet, Jack and Sam worked tirelessly in attack, creating many exciting chances on goal.
Well done, Team SVPS!
And a big thank you to the parents who helped with lifts.
