On Saturday 14th March, our Girls’ Football Team travelled to Keynsham in Bristol to compete in the South West of England Tournament. They played exceptionally well throughout the day and made it all the way to the semi‑finals.

Despite creating plenty of chances in the semi‑final match, luck just wasn’t on our side. The opposition had two opportunities and managed to score, leaving us narrowly missing out on a place in the final. The team then played for 3rd place, finishing the match with a well‑earned draw. Both teams agreed to share 3rd place and finish with a friendly penalty shootout – which we unfortunately lost – but spirits remained high.

It was a fantastic day of football in beautiful sunshine. Well done to Naimh, Harriet, Aaliyah, Eleanor, Poppy, Clara, Sienna, and Arabella. Their determination, passion, respect and teamwork shone through in every match.

A huge thank you to all the parents for transporting the team, cheering them on throughout the day, and even providing hot chocolate and marshmallows. Your support makes all of this possible – thank you!
