A message from the Chair of the Friends:

As Chair of Friends of Swindon Village Primary School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to parents and friends, past, present and future. The Friends are a group of people (mostly parents of children at school) who get together and organise events and projects to raise money for the school. We have regular monthly meetings, which are very relaxed.  Everyone is welcome to attend. Money raised is used to supplement the school income and enrich the education of the children in ways that may not otherwise be afforded in the school budget.

We support the school and its pupils by hosting events for the children such as discos, popcorn club, sponsored events and special Easter “Eggstravaganzas”; plus, our two key fundraising events of the year our Winter and Summer Fairs.

We can’t hold these events without the fantastic support of our fellow parents, whether it be volunteering to help at the events, donating raffle prizes, baking cakes, sponsoring the children etc.

Recent Projects

With money raised last Term, we have purchased a new Forest School / Outdoor Classroom.

We also make a regular contribution to the school so that we can keep the fantastic PlayPods topped up.

Watch this space for news of more projects we are able to support.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the FOSVPS by donating, helping or coming along to our events.  With your support, we have bought the school some rather snappy new ICT equipment.  The ICT Ambassadors are certainly really pleased with them.
