Girls' Dynamos Cricket Festival
On Tuesday 7th
June our girls cricket teams went to Tewkesbury Cricket Club to take part in a
Dynamos Cricket Festival. We arrived at the venue early so were able to
play our two teams against each other in a mini warm up game so they were able
to get a taste of what to expect and get familiar with the rules and
format. They soon picked it up. Both of our teams won their matches and went on
to play each other in the final. Unfortunately there can only be one winner
which was our A team. They were awarded with a Dynamo T-shirt and a place in the
Gloucestershire County Finals day in Bristol. What an achievement this is,
another first for our school. I was very impressed with the way they all
conducted themselves. all improving throughout the games. The
determination with the overarm bowling was great to see, this being the
trickiest part to learn. Great team work, self-belief and determination by all.
Well done to: Victoria, Ella, Evie, Amber, Anjana, and Chloe from the A team
and Sofia, Zara, Paige, Bay, Ivy and Isabel from the B team. You should all be
very proud of yourselves.
